Wrestlemania XXVI Is Coming to Glendale!
The City of Glendale, Ariz., Global Spectrum and World Wrestling Entertainment® announced that the University of Phoenix Stadium will host WrestleMania XXVI on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Arizona Cardinals’ Coach Ken Whisenhunt and University of Phoenix Stadium General Manager Peter Sullivan joined WWE® Chairman Vince McMahon and several WWE Superstars and Divas in making the announcement at a press conference on February 24, 2009, at the University of Phoenix Stadium. First Concert at Camelback Ranch-Glendale Features Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson
Camelback Ranch-Glendale, the spring home of the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers, stages its first concert on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. when The Bob Dylan Show, featuring Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson, appears at the Cactus League's largest stadium. Tickets, priced at $67.50, go on sale Saturday, May 16, through Ticketmaster by phone (national toll free 800-745-3000, national express 866-448-7849) or online (www.ticketmaster.com). Tickets will not be available at the ballpark ticket office until the day of the show. Children 14 and under accompanied by an adult ticket-holder are admitted free. The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl has been selected to participate in the next cycle of the Bowl Championship Series and will host the BCS National Championship Game on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 in Glendale, Fiesta Bowl Chairman Alan Young announced on March 11, 2009. Read more

USA Basketball Is Coming to Glendale
The national governing body for men’s and women’s basketball will be the latest sporting gem to join Glendale’s all-star sports and entertainment line up thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding approved by the Glendale City Council Nov. 18, 2008. City officials formally announced plans to bring USA Basketball to the city’s Sports and Entertainment District during a press conference held at the Glendale Media Center.

The neighborhood protection plan will be implemented on event days.
